Salvato Mechanical Seals offers high-quality Thermosyphon Pots designed for effective circulation and cooling of buffer or barrier fluids in double mechanical seal systems. These reservoirs are manufactured in carbon steel or stainless steel and are engineered for reliable performance in demanding industrial environments.

The standard thermosyphon pot has a nominal capacity of approximately 10 liters at normal liquid level (NLL) and can be supplied with or without an internal cooling coil, depending on application requirements. Each unit is equipped with a hand pump to compensate for buffer or barrier fluid losses during operation. The top dish end is provided with multiple ports for mounting pressure gauges, pressure switches, and level switches. Salvato Thermosyphon Pots are available with a standard welded-type level gauge, ensuring easy monitoring and safe operation.

Objective

1, Thermosyphon Pot is used in double mechanical seals so as to supply external barrier liquid which eliminated the leakage of hazardous process liquid into atmosphere.

2, Due to convection current, thermosyphon pots used in double seals are used to take away the heat generated across the faces.

3, Thermosyphon Pots used in double seats with unpressurised buffer liquid acts as a quenching device which dissolve the solids particles when inner seal liquid leaks into the outer seals chamber.

Application

Equipped with cooling coils with cooling water on coil side which takes away away the heat generated by seal faces.
Works on the principle of convection heat transfer method wherein the hot liquid rises up and cold liquid settles down.
Available with vent port to remove any entrapped gases from the system.
Fitted with hand - pump for the make up of buffer / barrier liquid leakage.
Optional feature for pressure switch and level switch for monitoring of seal leakage.
